In the summer of 2006, on the beautiful coast of the state of Maine, Belle Pearl was created. Now a flourishing business, the company got its start when Angela Apon purchased a web-based baby bracelet site called Princess Pearls shortly after receiving news she was expecting her fifth child.  Searching for a way to pursue her passions, yet keeping in mind she wanted to work close to home, Angela found the creation of Belle Pearl to be the perfect answer.

Before starting Belle Pearl, Angela had been working part-time as a registered dental hygienist but felt a calling from her inner entrepreneur. The daughter of entrepreneurial parents, Angela learned at a young age that it took hard work and dedication to make a business successful. With determination, a positive outlook, and the support of her loving family, Angela’s adventure began.  Belle Pearl has become a continually growing brand name that exemplifies quality jewelry and exceptional customer service.

The name Belle Pearl comes from two inspirations, Belle, from the French word meaning “beautiful” and the pearl which has been known as the “queen of gems.”  For Angela, it is all about feeling beautiful.  Whether you are giving the gift of Belle Pearl jewelry or wearing it yourself, Belle Pearl captures the essence of styles that make every women feel confident, stylish, and of course, beautiful.  Belle Pearl Jewelry offers beautiful pearls for beautiful girls of all ages.  Initially the jewelry line was exclusively a freshwater pearl collection, but as the business expanded, the designs now include semi-precious stones such as peridot, chalcedony, citrine, amethyst, among others.
