In light of the recent CPSIA (child protection safety information act) updates, we at Belle Pearl will now be using lead free glass crystal beads on all of our baby and children’s jewelry.
Safety is always at the top of our list when it comes to children. Although the Swarovski crystals have been proven that the lead is bonded in the silicate matrix of glass-as a result, the strength of bond prevents the lead from leaking out in an amount dangerous to humans. (That applies to even such accidents when crystals happened to be swallowed.)
UPDATES on the WEBSITE
The images on our site of the baby and children’s jewelry will remain. The new crystals will be almost identical in color and shape. We will be updating the crystal color chart, but in the meantime, the basic 12 birthstone colors are consistant and will continue to be used.
